ZimPraise is an interdenominational Praise and Worship group.
Comprising of passionate Christian Musicians from different backgrounds
and denominations. Joined in union to make one massive Praise and Worship Music team.
The desire to unite Nations through music for God’s glory gave birth to Zimpraise in October of 2006.
QUOTE: “The praise and worship depicts and clearly shows that we are truly Zimbabwean & Christian“.
Together they have ministered in various schools, universities, and churches.
Zimpraise has reached out to the Zimbabwean Community at large.
MUSIC
The group recorded their first audio CD in 2007 code-named ‘ZimPraise Season 1’.
The 15 track CD was also a compilation with different popular gospel musicians.
This included Pastor Gee, Kudzi Nyakudya, Sabastian Magacha, Bethan Pasinawako and many others.
In 2008 they launch yet another audio CD Album – ZimPraise Season II.
A few more members were added to the already existing team to make the group sturdier.
The team also fulfiled social responsibilities like visiting Mavhuradonha School,
Nyatsime College and Bonda Girls High.
After its registration and formal inception by the Zimpraise Trustees: Macdonald Chidavaenzi and Garikai Ndanga.
In 2010 Joseph Madziyire, after stydying Creative Arts majoring in Music and Film at Australia
was appointed CEO of ZimPraise.
His appointment saw the intensifying of the Zimpraise Choir during the preparation
and planning of the 3rd season Live DVD.
THIRD & FOURTH ALBUM
The third Season was also a Live DVD codenamed “The Power” recorded at 7-Arts Theatre in July 2011.
It was a night of excitement and also a bliss when a huge crowd thronged 7Arts Theatre in Avondale.
To witness Zimbabwe’s own inter-denominational praise
and worship group performing.
The highly-energetic large choir featured some of Zimbabwe’s most popular gospel musicians like.
Thembalami Tagwirei, Pastor G and Sebastian Magacha
Who got the audience on their feet in dance and celebration.
The Live recording was also organised by award-winning producer Madziyire
and McDonald Chidavaenzi.
Season 4 is the recent Live DVD recording at the HICC on the 21st of July 2012.
The group hosted auditions and added 40 more members
out of 300 participants in the City of Harare.
The idea was to have auditions in every city so every Christian Musician
gets a chance to compete. The audition was limited to one City
due to lack of funding.
The DVD has been released the group continue to run with the vision of Uniting Nations Through Worship.
